Our top 7 post of all time was More than a veterinary hospital: a resource for pet owners. It described my experience during a marketing visit with my 2-year old son. I interviewed Dr. Dena Fitzpatrick, one of Special Pets’ staff veterinarians. She shared with me what makes Special Pets Healthcare a unique veterinary hospital.
Special Pets Health Care Center in Bardstown, KY is much more than a veterinary hospital. The staff there is warm, friendly, and always helpful. They strive not only to care for your pets but also to be a resource to help you understand a variety of situations your pets may experience.
I recently interviewed Dr. Dena Fitzpatrick of Special Pets Healthcare about what makes it a unique veterinary hospital.
“Our most innovative service offered is stem cell therapy for arthritic pain, joint injuries, and wounds,” Dr. Fitzpatrick said. “We also offer mutiradiance laser therapy for treatment of pain and injuries. We also utilize a surgical laser for many of our surgical procedures, which reduces pain and inflammation due to surgical incisions.”
She is hopeful about the future of veterinary medicine, citing that stem cell treatments could eventually treat heart disease, kidney disease, and spinal cord injuries as scientific research improves over time.
With warmer weather on the way, it’s important to have your pets tested and on a heartworm preventative. Now through the end of April, Special Pets is offering a 10% discount on Wednesdays for heartworm tests and heartworm prevention to senior citizens age 65 and older.
