2010 Scoop the Poop Week Results

April 1-10, 2010, ReALife LLC observed National Scoop the Poop Week. Traditionally, Scoop the Poop week takes place the third week in April and is usually only seven days, recognizing the importance of cleaning up dog waste. For the past three years, ReALife LLC has observed it during the first ten days of April.

During this week, for every yard scooped by the company, $5 will be donated to a local animal shelter. This year, owner Jason Smith selected Louisville Metro Animal Services as the beneficiary for National Scoop the Poop Week.

Including existing weekly customers and new spring cleaning customers, 14 yards were scooped during the ten day period. Smith will donate $70 to Louisville Metro Animal Services. In 2009, ReALife LLC scooped 16 yards and donated $80 to the Pets in Need Society of Meade County. In 2008, ReALife LLC scooped 15 yards and donated $75 to Hardin County Animal Control.
